Hi friends,

Here is this week’s list of what I’m exploring and thinking about. Feel free to forward this along to friends.

Book I’m reading

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel. One of the best books I’ve read this year. The book argues that we are all human and need to strive to be more “reasonable” than “rational” when it comes to dealing with money. We are not rational beings, yet we like to treat our finance and business decisions like we are.

Noise-cancelling headphones I’m using

Sony wh-10000xm2. If you can get past the ridiculously long name of these headphones, they are worth the investment. I’ve been using them for the past 4 years for plane rides, studying in noisy environments, and enjoying music with great sound quality.

Whiskey I’m enjoying

Tattersall rye whiskey. A perfectly smooth, yet bold whiskey to sip on the rocks, or my personal preference, in an Old Fashioned.

Something I learned this week

The average cumulus cloud weighs 1.1 billion pounds! How do clouds stay airborne if they weigh one billion pounds? Well, when the sun is shining, currents of air known as thermals, or convection currents, start to form and warm the ground. These rising thermals help to apply upward pressure to suspend the cloud in the air.

Word of the week

Surreptitious: done, made, or acquired by stealth.

Until next week,

Kevin
