Hi friends,

Here is this week’s list of what I’m exploring and thinking about. Feel free to forward this along to friends.

Travel gear I’m using

Quality luggage and accessories can make your traveling experience joyful instead of dreadful. For my carry-on bag, I’m using the Delsey Air Armour Hardside. I also travel with my everyday backpack the Aer City Pack Pro. This minimalist design with practical features offers the perfect combination of looks and usability. Bonus tip: get compressible packing cubes to keep your clothes and accessories organized, and to get the most use out of your carry-on space.

Music to enhance concentration

Listening to music is a great way to boost energy and give you the focus to dive into deep work. Everyone has their own preference for music choice, but while doing cognitively demanding tasks I prefer music or sounds without lyrics. My go-to playlist for studying or writing is my lofi beats playlist on Spotify.

Book summary I’m rereading

I’ve been a full-time Physical Therapist for the past 4 months, and even though I have a steady income now, I still have the mindset of a broke college student saving pennies any way I can. To get out of this mindset and to start living fully, I often revisit my book notes on Bill Perkins book Die With Zero. The key takeaway is that you don’t want a large sum of money at the end of your life. You want to spend it when you’re healthy enough to enjoy experiences with that money.

How I’m implementing exercise “snacks”

Exercise “snacks” are short periods throughout the week where you perform an exercise at a high intensity for a brief amount of time. This could be running up a flight of stairs, sprinting to your car in the parking lot, or doing as many push-ups as possible within one set. Having an exercise “snack” after lunch each day helps to stave off the grogginess that I usually get in the mid-afternoon.

Quote of the week

School is not only a place to learn, but a place to learn how to learn. And at its best, school should be a place to stimulate a lifetime of curiosity.

Until next week,
