Hi friends,

Here is this week’s list of what I’m exploring and thinking about. Feel free to forward this along to friends.

Podcast I’m enjoying

Dr. Shirley Sahrmann — A Legendary PT Does a Deep Dive on Tim’s Low-Back Issues, Teaches How to Unlearn Painful Patterns, Talks About Movement as Medicine (or Poison), and More on The Tim Ferriss Show. Dr. Shirley Sahrmann has revolutionized the field of physical therapy. This episode gives the layperson a look into the mind of a PT when they are diagnosing a patient, and may be able to help you if you’re experiencing back pain.

Meal replacement I’m using

Huel Black Edition. This has been a daily staple of my diet for the past few months. I don’t always have time to cook and prepare healthy meals, so having this in my workbag saves me from binging on unhealthy food when I’m hungry. It’s a bit pricey, but for 40 grams of protein with quality ingredients, it’s hard to beat.

Book I’m reading

A Guide to the Good Life by William B. Irvine. William is a professor of philosophy at Wright State University. This book is about how the ancient school of philosophy, Stoicism, got its start and how it can be applied to our daily lives. This is not the typical “self-help” book that tells you to think you’ll become rich and you will live a successful life. Instead, it offers tools to improve mental fortitude and to enjoy life to the fullest.

Youtube video I’m learning from

8 Simple Habits That Save Me 20+ Hours a Week by Ali Abdaal. Ali is a productivity guru, and any habit I adopt to improve my productivity is almost always inspired by him. This is a great tutorial on how to set goals and plan our days to achieve those goals.

Quote of the week

“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.”

— Steve Jobs

Until next week,
